The 6.0 being able to achive lower rpms as compared to a 4.8 is BS, the stock valsvesprings will be the limiting factor in either engine. If revving over 5000rpm was detrimental, GM wouldnt set stock rev limits to 5,800rpm. Heck my L31 350's rev limit was 5600rpm.
